A new agreement between Resolve Digital and the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) will provide for low-cost, professional Web site evaluations to ASTA members worldwide according to the association. A Web site evaluation is the fast, cost-effective way to improve a site`s performance.

The process starts with a 24-point questionnaire that helps agencies define their business goals and target audiences – to think about their Web site strategically. At the conclusion, a Web evaluation report describes the problem areas and offers recommendations to fix them.

ASTA Executive Vice President and COO William A. Maloney, CTC, believes this is a smart move for the organization and its 20,000-plus members. “Our mission is to enhance the professionalism and profitability of member agents, so we’re always on the look-out for tools to help improve the way they do business. The Internet has transformed the travel industry. To remain competitive, our members need Web sites that are engaging, informative, and user-friendly.”

Resolve Digital’s Managing Partner, Barry Harrison observes: “Many travel agencies suspect there’s something wrong with their site and need a fresh, objective opinion – that`s where we come in. It can be an essential marketing tool, but too often, Web sites provide little benefit to the agents. The first step in correcting that is an objective Web evaluation.”

Resolve’s Web evaluation reports include a list of recommendations so agencies understand the top priorities and know what steps to take first. “Every Web site is a work in progress. Every Web site can perform better,” notes Resolve Digital’s Creative Director, Patrick Morrow. “We think of ourselves as advocates for your visitors, because what`s best for them is best for your business.”
