Members of the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA<.>) who attended the body`s recent 1999 conference in Cairns, Australia were enthused by Greece`s organisation of the 2000 forum on the isle of Kos.

Speaking at this year`s event, Panos Argyros, head of the Hellenic Tourism Organisation`s (EOT) UK branch, stressed that the 2000 conference was being supported by the Kipriotis Village complex – which will host the forum – and Kosmar Holidays, Britain`s specialists in Greek tour packages. Kosmar is organising the accommodation at Kipriotis Village as well as transport for the duration of the conference.

Kosmar director Abhi Dighi said the Greek presentation at the 1999 forum was a great success. At the EOT stand, visitors could obtain information on Kos` new convention centre and were impressed by the fact that the island, and indeed Greece, had such a large venue of this type.
