IAAPA Attractions Expo 2005 Annual Conference and Trade Show was honored in “Tradeshow Week” magazine’s 32nd annual edition of the Tradeshow Week 200, IAAPA announced. Placing in the top 20 percent of the largest tradeshows in the U.S., IAAPA Attractions Expo 2005 ranked 38th place.

Compiled by “Tradeshow Week”, the rankings are based on total sold net square footage, number of exhibiting firms and professional attendance. The 200 largest tradeshows in the United States and the 50 largest in Canada are ranked.

IAAPA Attractions Expo is the largest amusement and attractions industry conference and trade show in the world. In 2005, the tradeshow was held at the Georgia World Congress Center, with almost 1200 exhibitors filling more than 1 million gross square feet and hosting more than 22,000 attendees.

“IAAPA Attractions Expo is the focal point for the amusement and attractions industry. It’s where the serious business of our industry occurs,” said Charlie Bray, IAAPA president and CEO. “We are pleased that the show continues to receive recognition from ‘Tradeshow Week’ as one of the top 200 US tradeshows.”

IAAPA Attractions Expo 2006 will return to the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia—also recognized by “Tradeshow Week” as the 5th leading host city for the top 200 tradeshows. From November 13-18, 2006, the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2006 will offer educational seminars and social events in addition to its tradeshow. IAAPA also owns the IAAPA Asian Expo and co-owns the Euro Attractions Show, the largest amusement industry shows in Asia and Europe.
