Over 750 CVB professionals, educational speakers and industry suppliers went Hog Wild for Kansas City at the International Association of Convention & Visitor Bureaus` (IACVB) 89th Annual Convention, July 19-22, in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.

A one-stop-shop for educational seminars, product familiarization, and networking, the convention brought attendees from more than 10 countries together for four days of unparalleled exchange. A record number of sponsors were present, giving attendees the opportunity to meet one-on-one with 87 suppliers, offering an extensive array of products and services.

While at the meeting – revving it up on the highway of learning – Lisa Hansen, from the Baltimore CVA, was the lucky individual to win a 100th Anniversary Harley-Davidson V-Rod(tm) in the Yahoo! Harley Davidson V-Rod(tm) Giveaway! Yahoo! attended the meeting as a premier sponsor.

Other highlights include:

  • Keynote address by Dr. Robert Kriegel, New York Times best-selling author and commentator for National Public Radio`s Marketplace Program on how to maximize productivity, innovation, and products.
