New contacts for IAEE’s European office

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) announced that Brussels Expo will manage the IAEE European Office effective immediately. This collaboration will establish a presence in the countries in Europe to meet the needs of exhibitions and events industry professionals including networking and education opportunities.

Brussels is considered to be at the epicenter of Europe in a growing and industrious city. Brussels Expo has close links with the many cities in Europe as well as a solid partnership with the Brussels Exhibition Center. Brussels Expo is continually evolving and has a strong presence in hosting public fairs and general meetings.

A member of the IAEE Board of Directors and director of Commercial & International Affairs for Brussels Expo, David Boon, said, "We have been a part of IAEE for almost 10 years and are excited about this opportunity. Our ambition is to support IAEE in its full capacity to recruit more members and to provide the CEM Learning Program to industry professionals. Our board is very optimistic, and we look forward to this collaborative effort."

The IAEE office in Europe also provides a platform from which to launch new programs and services designed to benefit international show organizers. Programs and events, including the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) Learning Program, will be held to provide show organizers and suppliers in the region educational and networking opportunities to build their professional development and business relationships.

IAEE President Steven Hacker, CAE, said, "Brussels Expo’s management of the IAEE European Office will undoubtedly strengthen the industry as a whole. We will continue to offer all of IAEE’s exceptional programs to professionals overseas. IAEE’s membership base has increased significantly in the past few months, and our goal is to bring IAEE’s multiple opportunities to professionals around the world to continue to facilitate face-to-face exhibitions and events."
