The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) announced Ripley Entertainment has been named a Gold Sponsor for the Third Annual IAAPA Charity Golf Tournament to benefit Give Kids The World (GKTW). Stone Mountain Golf Club, Stone Mountain, Georgia, will host the tournament November 14, 2005, which is being held in conjunction with the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2005 Annual Conference and Trade Show.

IAAPA Attractions Expo 2005, the largest worldwide gathering of professionals in the amusement and attractions industry, is being held November 14-19 at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, Ga.

Ripley Entertainment is proud to be a Gold Sponsor for the 3rd Annual IAAPA Charity Golf Tournament to benefit Give Kids The World Village, said Bob Masterson, president of Ripley Entertainment. This is Ripley Entertainment`s opportunity to give something back to our great consumers and the children and families that benefit so greatly from Give Kids The World Village.

Give Kids The World is an organization that fulfills the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses and their families by providing each wish family a week of cost-free fun at the Give Kids the World Village located in Kissimmee, Florida.

Last year`s IAAPA Charity Golf Tournament netted close to $30,000. Other tournament activities designed to raise money for GKTW and to add to the day of fun included decorated tees, giveaways, putting contests, mulligans and more. The monies raised from the tournament contributed to the development of the Village`s new teen center called Common Compass.

Last year we introduced pizza delivery to the villas. This is a luxury that our special families don`t get to indulge in at home, said Pamela Landwirth, President of GKTW. The contributions from this year`s tournament will allow us to expand our pizza kitchen and keep up with the demand of this popular program.

IAAPA has worked to raise funds and provide support for GKTW for more than ten years. This year`s golf tournament combines the efforts of IAAPA`s key membership including manufacturers and suppliers that sponsor various tournament activities, holes and foursomes.

This is one of IAAPA`s most popular events at the IAAPA Attractions Expo. Last year`s tournament sold out, so this year we are offering two courses to handle the additional capacity, said J. Clark Robinson, IAAPA President and CEO. We hope everyone that wishes to play will reserve their spot as soon as possible.
