In a statement released by VisitBritain, officials said it is not appropriate to speculate at this stage what impact, if any, this could have on the visitor economy. Our main concern is for the people who have been affected by this incident and we will monitor the situation and update our overseas offices as required. Visitors to central London will experience severe traffic and travel disruption today. However, VisitBritain said British Airways and BAA inform them that it is business as usual, although travellers may wish to contact their travel agents or airlines before travel. `
