Alaska Airlines inaugurates nonstop service between Seattle and Kansas City, Mo.

Alaska Airlines inaugurates nonstop daily service between Seattle and Kansas City, Mo., since yesterday Monday, March 12. "We’re delighted to introduce our award-winning customer service and smiling Eskimo to this great mid-America destination," said Joe Sprague, Alaska Airlines’ vice president of marketing. "With the addition of Kansas City, Alaska Airlines now serves 15 destinations east of the Rocky Mountains."

Alaska Airlines will operate the new route with fuel-efficient Boeing 737 aircraft. Members of Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan can also earn double miles on the carrier’s Seattle-Kansas City flights from March 12 through April 25, 2012.

Alaska Airlines ranked "Highest in Customer Satisfaction Among Traditional Network Carriers" in the J.D. Power and Associates 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 North America Airline Satisfaction Studies.
