ARINC Incorporated has been awarded a contract for advanced Internet-based communications and messaging services by SkyEurope Airlines, central Europe`s largest low-fare passenger carrier.

The fast-growing airline has recently expanded its routes to 22 destinations in 13 countries. To help SkyEurope control costs and manage its operations efficiently, ARINC will provide three advanced Internet-based communications solutions: ARINC AviNet MailTM, ARINC MQ-Over-the-InternetTM, and ARINC Avinet ConnectorTM.

Airlines of this region have been suffering with high infrastructure and messaging costs for some time, stated Graham Lake, ARINC Managing Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa. ARINC can deliver far more cost-effective messaging products, and we are delighted to serve SkyEurope as our first major airline customer in Eastern Europe.

ARINC will deploy its AviNet Mail service to allow SkyEurope`s flight crews, ground crews, and dispatchers to stay in contact with work instructions and reports exchanged via any standard Internet connection. As a managed service, AviNet Mail reduces the need for airlines to invest in costly e-mail servers and local infrastructure.

For more cost savings, ARINC will also migrate SkyEurope`s Type B business messaging onto AviNetMQ-over-the-Internet service. This economical and secure Internet-based technology takes the place of dedicated private lines to connect airlines with GDSs, travel agents, freight forwarders, and other trading partners. It provides the same level of delivery notification and non-duplication assurance as private Type B message services.

ARINC will also install its Avinet Connector technology, which efficiently integrates airline Type B business messaging applications, including those applications originally developed for SITATex SDK.

We understand ARINC`s new Internet-based solutions have been well-received by other companies in our industry, stated Martin Simicek, SkyEurope IT manager in charge of the project. We will look forward to a new level of cost-effective service and reliable network support when ARINC deploys these systems later in July.

Founded in 2001, SkyEurope is the leading Central European low-cost airline and the first multi-based airline in the region, operating from bases in Bratislava, Krakow, Warsaw, Budapest and Vienna. SkyEurope currently serves 22 destinations in 13 countries and this year ordered 16 additional Boeing 737 series jets that will enter revenue service during 2006 and 2007.
