Curacao’s national carrier, Insel Air, inaugurates new service between Miami and Curacao

It’s easier than ever to get to Curacao as the island’s national carrier Insel Air inaugurates flights between Miami and Curacao on November 21, 2008. Until the end of November, Insel Air will service the route three times per week on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. In December, the frequency will be increased to four times per week – Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Insel Air flights will depart at 2 p.m. from Miami International Airport’s main terminal and arrive in Curacao at 6 p.m. Each Insel Air McDonnell Douglas MD 83 (Flight #7I 904) has a seating capacity up to 152 passengers with a dedicated crew of 4-6 flight attendants and pilots.

Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, Air Jamaica and American Airlines also service Curacao. Continental Airlines will resume service December 20 and flies once per week to Curacao – Saturday to Saturday. Delta Airlines also flies once per week – Saturday to Saturday and resumed flights November 15. Air Jamaica flies four times weekly – Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday out of airports in key North American cities: Baltimore/Washington, New York – JFK and Philadelphia International. American Airlines flies daily.
