Expedia signs new multi-year agreement with United Airlines

Expedia, Inc. announced a new multi-year agreement with United Airlines through which travelers booking on Expedia.com and Hotwire will have access to all United and Continental fares, schedules and inventory. The agreement comes as Expedia and United mark nearly 15 years of working together.

"The travel distribution landscape is constantly changing, but our partnership with United remains strong," said Greg Schulze, senior vice president of global tour and transport. "We are pleased to work strategically with United to extend its full range of products to millions of travelers."

Expedia and United will work together on innovative merchandising and promotional programs designed to maximize exposure for United’s products and grow revenue. At the same time, travelers booking on Expedia, Inc. sites will have access to United’s unmatched global route network and U.S. hub structure, ensuring they have access to the best selection of airfares available.

In addition, United will be giving its customers online access at united.com to nearly 145,000 hotels via the Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN). The platform is easy to integrate and fully customizable and will provide plenty of options for tailored merchandising offers.

"Continuing to work closely with Expedia is key to reaching a vast audience of leisure travelers throughout the U.S. and Canada," said Dave Hilfman, United Airlines senior vice president of sales.
