South African Airways has appointed Cindy Y. Lam as Director, Sales Development for Canada, effective January 8, 2007. Lam, who has over nine years of experience in the airline industry will be based in Toronto, Canada, and will report to Todd Neuman, Vice President, Sales – North America.
As Director, Sales Development, Lam will be responsible for all South African Airways passenger sales in Canada that are generated through retail travel agency, corporate, tour operator and consolidator accounts.
“Cindy is a high caliber sales professional and her experience in developing business strategies to capture both leisure and corporate sales will add great value to increasing South African Airways position in the Canadian market,” said Neuman.
Prior to joining South African Airways, Lam held several management positions with Cathay Pacific Airways and Harmony Airways in Toronto.
