Mark Heather, Regional Managing Director of Absolute Hotel Services India announced a take over of the management of Desertscape Jodhpur Resort as of March 15, 2011. This announcement follows last year’s announcement of the new build 63-room U Desertscape Jodhpur that is due to open in 2012. The two resorts are owned by the same developer, Prescon Hospitality Pvt. Ltd.
The 27-room Desertscape Jodhpur resort is located 20 km from the town center of Jodhpur. Jodhpur is the second largest city in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is called the Gateway to Thar, as it is literally on the edge of the Thar Desert. It is also called the Sun City as the sun shines almost every day of the year. The resort has various room types and sizes with the majority being 40 sqm including bedroom, living area and bathroom. The facilities include a multi-ethnic restaurant and two spa treatment rooms. A Club house closes to the resort is close to completion which will include sport facilities, restaurant, bar and a swimming pool.
