Aloft Phoenix Airport completes major renovation

The hotel, which has been managed by Commonwealth Hotels since opening in 2009, has a new General Manager as well.

COVINGTON, KY. – The 143-room Aloft Phoenix Airport has completed a multi-million-dollar renovation. The total renovation of both the interior to include the rooms, the meeting rooms, the XYZ Lounge and the lobby. The property hosted a ribbon cutting and grand opening recently to celebrate the new property with local entertainment.

"This remodel brings a new vibrant and boutique style to our property, both in the public spaces and guest rooms," Vice President, Denise Tempco said. "It demonstrates our commitment to exceed our guests' expectations with high quality accommodations that have a touch of local flair. We have a new team that is anxious to show it off."

The hotel, which has been managed by Commonwealth Hotels since opening in 2009, has a new General Manager as well. "To be able to join not only a renovated Aloft hotel, but to have the opportunity to join a fantastic team and an amazing management company is like a dream come true. Someone please pinch me, I'm so excited!" said Josh Garcia. Josh has over 22 years of customer service experience, 15 of these years in hospitality. His service experience is extensive, working many different management positions in Arizona with both Hilton and Marriott brands. Josh joined the Aloft Phoenix Airport hotel as well as Commonwealth Hospitality in November 2017.

"Marriott's purchase of Starwood will continue to elevate the exposure of our Aloft Phoenix Airport as well as other Starwood properties. It is a great opportunity for all."

The new design features vibrant blues and orange accents in the expanded lobby and sleek greys, silver and gold in the guest rooms. The full scope of the interior renovation includes new carpet, state of the art exercise equipment, bedding, floor tile, carpets, curtains, paint, wall vinyl, artwork, new outdoor furniture and all new soft seating furniture.

Located at 4450 East Washington St, Phoenix AZ is just five minutes from baggage claim at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport—but light-years from all those other run-of-the-mill airport hotels.
