Second Annual Best B&B Breakfast Recipe Contest recognizes signature amenity of B&Bs.
AUSTIN, TEXAS – For the second year in a row, BedandBreakfast.com is in search of the best B&B breakfast in the world with its BedandBreakfast.com Best B&B Breakfast Tournament contest. Bed and breakfasts are invited to submit their favorite sweet or savory breakfast recipe that could capture the hearts and mouths of BedandBreakast.com’s Facebook fans.
The BedandBreakfast.com Best B&B Breakfast Tournament contest works in brackets, much like the NCAA Basketball’s March Madness. Recipes must be submitted to BedandBreakfast.com by January 31. BedandBreakfast.com will narrow the entries to 32 finalists whose recipes will be reviewed and ranked into the Sweet & Savory 16 by guest food and travel media judges. Judges will select the 16 finalists based on uniqueness, creativity and appeal.
Starting March 25, BedandBreakfast.com’s Facebook fans will vote on their favorites, with the recipe in each bracket winning the most votes moving on to the next round. From the Sweet & Savory 16, fans will select the Eggscellent Eight, the Foodie Four and the Final Two, which will battle it out in a showdown between sweet and savory.
In its inaugural year, bittersweet chocolate waffles topped with mint butter cream and strawberry sauce from the Lyttleton Inn in Littleton, Mass. won top honors, followed closely by pumpkin pancakes with caramelized pecans, whipped cream and gingery syrup from Gracehill Bed and Breakfast in Townsend, Tenn.
