Bulgaria: Room for new hotels?

A special committee of representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and other ministries will check whether there is room for new hotels in Sunny Beach

A special committee of representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and other ministries will check whether there is room for new hotels in Sunny Beach. Experts will examine whether the capacity of the infrastructure of the biggest resort complex along the southern Black sea coastline allows partial amendments in the construction-regulation plan, the Union of Owners announced.

At least five new hotels are expected to be constructed during the next season in the eastern part of the resort. Their construction began last month.

A few days ago representatives of private hotel and restaurant keepers in Sunny Beach came back from the tourist fair in London. There the union presented a luxurious catalogue of the resort in three languages with information about all hotels, restaurants, attractions and a 13-minute DVD film about Sanito.

Having in mind that Great Britain is a leader on the world tourist market, the Union of Owners was pleased to find out that the interest in Sunny Beach resort complex is extremely great, hotelkeepers stated yesterday.

Statistics show that on the territory of the resort there are more than 145 hotels, 90% of which are three and four-starred. Apart from that, in Sanito there are 60 attractions and pubs.
