Elaf Group is currently establishing four new hotels in Jeddah, Mekkah and Al Madina. Total cost of construction of the two hotels is SR 200 million, announced Zyad bin Ahmed Mahfouz, chairman of Elaf Group during the events of STTIM-2012.
Bin Mahfouz further said, that the company during the last two years has managed to double the number of hotel rooms, and by the end of the current year the room number is expected to reach 5000.
Bin Mahfouz added that Suaidzation of hotels is a key goal, it should be achieved and it is unquestionable. He said investors in this sector suffer Saudi youth’s turning away from hotels positions, especially 80% positions in hotels are service jobs.
"Ministry of Labor should pay more attention to hospitality industry same as the support given to it by SCTA," he added.
Noteworthy, Elaf Group is one of silver sponsors of STTIM-2012, which has lately concluded its events in Riyadh. Elaf Group has participated with an exhibition in the event highlighting group’s hotels in the Kingdom.
