Belgian-based content and technology specialist Gateway is launching its new hotel booking engine to the UK’s off and online travel agency market at the 2009 Travel Technology Show. The engine, which is already being used by over 800 agents in Europe, is available in B2B and B2C versions and has an initial global inventory of over 100,000 hotels provided both by major accommodation vendors and by country, regional and luxury specialists.
Gateway is also promoting its increasingly popular service for the ATPCO filing of airlines’ private fares in European markets. South African Airways and Sri Lankan Airlines are the latest airlines to sign up for the service. This filing service, which Gateway estimates can save an airline 20% or more on it usual filing costs, distributes private fares quickly and securely via ATPCO to any GDS, saving time and cost.
These fares can be quickly retrieved from GDS fare displays and compared alongside published fares so that travel agents and other bookers can make informed booking decisions. ATPCO fares can also be quoted and issued automatically.
Gateway is European market leader in providing outsourced airfare database management services for travel businesses such as agencies, operators, consolidators and airlines.
Also on offer fom Gateway is a B2B or B2C flight engine for booking published, negotiated, low cost and charter fares, and which can include customised look-&-feel and features. Another Gateway product is its car booking engine which compares cars and prices from different rental suppliers and brokers in one system, and which can complete bookings in just three easy steps.
