Golden Tulip announced the acquisition of the lease agreement for the Golden Tulip Winterswijk as per April 1st 2006. The Golden Tulip Winterswijk formerly named Golden Tulip De Frerikshof is associated with Golden Tulip under a franchise agreement since 1999.
Mr. Roel Hilbink, managing owner of the Golden Tulip Winterswijk states: After a lifelong career in the hotel business it was time for me and my wife to focus on the more personal aspects of life. We always wanted to sell the hotel to a group, which would bring continuity to hospitality world in the region and of course to the staff. We are very pleased that specifically Golden Tulip our long-term partner has stepped into that position.
Mr. Roel Hilbink has been with the company for 25 years as director and the last ten years as the largest shareholder for the hotel.
