Great Hotels of the World represents some of the world’s finest independent hotels, and is delighted to announce that Cotswold House in Gloucestershire, England has joined its alliance. Located in the North Cotswolds town of Chipping Campden, Cotswold House combines the traditional character and architecture of a regency townhouse with modern comforts and superb dining. Each of the hotel’s 30 rooms range from deluxe doubles to suites with private gardens and hot tubs. Each are equipped with modern amenities and facilities and some rooms include four-poster beds, open log fires, bathroom television and a bespoke mini-bar. Each of the hotel’s two restaurants offer the very best of modern British cooking, inspired by the offerings of local Cotswold producers. The award-winning Julianna’s Restaurant offers a sophisticated, contemporary dining environment surrounded by unusual artwork and design. The a la carte menu, awarded three rosettes and four AA red stars, features game, meat and seasonal produce from local producers, cheese sourced from within 30 miles of the hotel and home-made sorbets and ice-cream.  Hick’s Brasserie is the hub of the hotel, serving informal meals and drinks throughout the day. Located a short distance from all the main midlands motorways, the hotel is an ideal venue for meetings, events and team-building activities. Four luxury meeting rooms are available with a capacity of up to 100 delegates.

Part of the Atrium Hotels group, the 254-room Atrium Prestige Thalasso Spa Resort & Villas is located 74km from Rhodes Town in Lahania Bay on the South-Eastern coast of Rhodes. Taking its inspiration from the Greek islands, this brand-new resort, opening in May 2009, combines breath-taking landscape with palatial architecture and a stunning spa to create the highest standard of luxury accommodation. The palatial main building, with its eye-catching wooden dome, offers remarkable sea views from three descending levels. These floors can be accessed by a glass elevator surrounded by tropical gardens, waterfalls, fountains and a lagoon-style swimming pool. All rooms, suites, bungalows and villas are set in a carefully designed village setting ensuring tranquillity and privacy. Some villas offer private pools and are located just steps away from the hotel’s sandy beach. The 1750 m² AnaNeosis Thalasso Spa Centre offers panoramic sea-views and includes a fully-equipped gym, sauna, hammam and multifunctional sea water pool. The spa offers a full range of relaxing spa treatments including anti-ageing treatments, hot stone treatments and indoceane treatments. Spa treatments start from £30 (€34). Additional facilities include a wedding chapel, an 850sqm convention hall, floodlit tennis courts, archery, mini-golf, table tennis, basketball court, volleyball court, water slides and a selection of shops and boutiques.
