Agreement reinforces company’s expansion efforts throughout Latin America

Hilton Worldwide to operate Hilton Garden Inn Santa Fe

Hilton Worldwide announced the signing of a management agreement with HH Developments to operate a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Santa Fe – the capital city of the province of Santa Fe, Argentina.  The new-build Hilton Garden Inn Santa Fe, expected to open at the end of 2013, represents the brand’s second development project in Argentina, following the recent announcement of the Hilton Garden Inn Zarate project – a management agreement with the same ownership group.

“We couldn’t be happier to announce this newest project in Argentina and bring another Hilton Garden Inn hotel to our part of the world,” commented Tom Potter, area vice president, operations, South America, Hilton Worldwide. “Hilton Worldwide has a commitment to grow throughout Latin America and introduce new brands to new markets. This agreement is the latest milestone in our efforts, following the opening of the Hilton Garden Inn Santiago Airport in Chile and the signing of the Hilton Garden Inn Zarate in Argentina.”

Forming part of the award-winning, mid-priced brand that delivers high quality and value, the Hilton Garden Inn Santa Fe will welcome guests to a waterfront location on the Parana River. The hotel will form part of the new Santa Fe Port redevelopment project offering everything from a yacht club and shopping mall to residences, premium office space and meeting facilities. Santa Fe is served by frequent domestic flights to and from key cities in Argentina, including a one hour flight from Buenos Aires. The city is also a one hour drive from Rosario. Just 20 minutes from the international airport, the Hilton Garden Inn Santa Fe will welcome business and leisure travelers alike.

“We are proud to introduce the Hilton Garden Inn brand in Santa Fe, a business and cultural center surrounded by exciting nature-filled activities,” commented Adrian Kurre, Global Head, Hilton Garden Inn. “This hotel will be a welcome addition to our Hilton Garden Inn portfolio and we look forward to providing travelers with an upscale, yet affordable hotel in this fantastic destination.”

The strikingly modern six-story Hilton Garden Inn Santa Fe, designed with utilizing natural light in mind, will feature 116 guest rooms, all with the Garden Sleep System allowing guests to adjust the firmness and softness of the bed, ergonomic Mirra chair by Herman Miller, LCD high-definition, flat-screen television, easy-to-set alarm clock with MP3 connectivity, a spacious work desk, and a “hospitality center” that features a mini refrigerator and coffee maker.

For dining options, the hotel will boast a full service restaurant offering freshly prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a bar, as well as the 24-hour Pavilion Pantry shop with a selection of delicious readymade meals, beverages and snacks.

Recreational facilities will include a rooftop swimming pool and a complimentary fitness center featuring Precor cardio and strength training equipment, and Stay Fit Kits that can be checked out from the hotel front desk and enable guests to do yoga, Pilates and core workouts in the privacy of their guestroom or in the workout facility.

Travelers to the Hilton Garden Inn Santa Fe will also have access to cutting-edge and flexible meeting space, as well as signature Hilton Garden Inn brand attributes such as complimentary Wi-Fi and a 24-hour business center.

The Hilton Garden Inn Santa Fe will participate in Hilton HHonors, the only guest rewards program that allows members to earn Points & Miles® for the same stay and redeem points for free nights with No Blackout Dates at more than 3,700 hotels worldwide.

Santa Fe, the capital city of Santa Fe province in Argentina, is considered the ninth largest city in Argentina based on metropolitan population. A strong manufacturing and agricultural center, this provincial capital sits near the junction of the Parana and Salado rivers, and is connected to the city of Parana by an underwater road tunnel about a mile and half long. For the tourist minded, the city enjoys a subtropical climate with warm summers and cool winters. Providing a mix of city and nature, visitors to Santa Fe can enjoy the destination’s museums, art and nightlife, as well as outdoor experiences such as fishing, river walks and water sports.

Hilton Worldwide currently has 45 hotels and resorts in Latin America and is expanding throughout the region with a robust development pipeline that includes properties in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Panama and Peru.
