Hotusa Hotels has enlarged its portfolio in 2006 with 363 additional establishments, thus reaffirming its privileged position side-by-side with the major hotel consortiums world-wide. Amongst the hotels that have joined Hotusa last year are 139 on Spanish territory and 224 spread over 38 different countries, with a special mention for the debut made in Canada and South Africa.



The 2006 figure includes the 21 hotels that became associated throughout last December. Over this period the Hotusa international portfolio added 10 new establishments located in Argentina (1), Belgium (3), France (1), Italy (1), Mexico (1), Czech Republic (1), South Africa(1) and Turkey (1). The 11 Spanish hotels are distributed over Andalusia (1), Aragon (1), Asturias (2), Cantabria (1), Catalonia (1) and Galicia (5).



Ratifying its firm commitment to diversify and segment the available offer, the chain continues with its growth strategy by adding to the organization a wide variety of establishments.



The chain currently possesses a portfolio with over 1,950 associated establishments distributed throughout a total of 27 European destinations: Germany, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the Ukraine; 7 Latin American nations: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, Paraguay and Peru; 3 African countries: Morocco, Tunisia and South Africa; plus the U.S.A. and Canada.



The objective of the organization is to enlarge and diversify its portfolio by including hotels in both traditional destinations and in the emerging tourist markets on a world-wide scale. In this context, one of the firm intentions for 2007 is to disembark in new and strategic locations.
