InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announced that Kirk Kinsell, senior vice president and chief development officer, the Americas, will present at Information Management Network`s 2nd Annual Florida Symposium on Financing, Developing and Operating Condo Hotels, May 22-23, in Hollywood, Fla.
Kinsell will participate in a discussion entitled “The Big Brand Panel: What is Their View on the Condo Hotel Market.” The panel will cover how big hotel brands are approaching the condo hotel market, what kinds of properties they are looking to brand and the financial terms they are looking for.
As part of the panel, Kinsell will draw from his experience as Chief Development Officer for IHG. He is responsible for growth across all brands, including franchise, management contracts and real estate development activities sponsored on behalf of the company.
IHG currently has three hotels underway with residential aspects. The InterContinental Boston will feature hotel rooms and luxury condos and is scheduled to open later in 2006. The InterContinental Sacramento, with condo units in the hotel tower, is scheduled to open early in 2008. The InterContinental Resort & Residences Orlando, the largest InterContinental brand hotel in the world with a mix of 1,260 luxury hotel and hotel condominium units, is slated to open early in 2009.
IMN`s Florida symposium is an opportunity for industry experts to thoroughly examine the rise of condo hotel properties and focus on the issues that affect all of the players within the condo hotel marketplace. The conference will feature 28 sessions. More than 40 condo hotel owners and operators will participate.
