Le Meridien Tower: location is key feature of new Kuwait hotel

A central location in Kuwait City and a new concept in personalised services are among the unique selling points (USPs) of Le Meridien Tower according to Hannes Yaghi, country manager for Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts in Kuwait.

Yaghi acknowledged that no hotel would succeed in attracting customers if it was not in the area where visitors wanted to be.

“The three essentials of the hotel industry according to the old maxim still hold – location, location, location – and no operator should ever expect to dictate to his potential guests but rather cater to their requirements.

“Fortunately for us, in Kuwait the major need is for downtown accommodation and we are delighted to have secured this site with our partner A’amal Holdings,”
he added.

The 70-room boutique hotel on Fahed al-Salem Street is within walking distance of many of the major banks, government and commercial offices, as well as Kuwait’s growing retail sector.

It can also be reached by car from Kuwait International Airport within 15 minutes, and will offer all guests free airport transfers as well as assistance with visa issuance.

“We know that the majority of our guests will be regional and international visitors, coming to Kuwait to conduct business, and our aim is to make their travel as seamless as possible,” said Yaghi.

Le Meridien Tower will be the first Art+Tech design for the hotel group in the region, and it will launch several innovative concepts including wireless Internet access, a guest service manager for each floor in the hotel and mobile business centre facilities.

Yaghi explained that while hotels were once again booming in the country, and there had been a welcome expansion of both international and local names in the sector, Le Meridien Tower would be the first property to introduce many cutting-edge concepts that are revolutionising the world of travel.

“The latest technology, innovative room design and unparalleled service standards are just a few of the promises set out for Le Meridien Tower,” he said. “And as the first Art+Tech design hotel for Le Meridien in the region, it will be a showcase for both Kuwait and our partners, the A’amal Holding Group.

“This is a revolution in hotel terms, and one that will give our customers in Kuwait a real choice in terms of their accommodation requirements,”
said Yaghi.

“Simply put, there is nothing similar in the market, but we are convinced that the design concept will be an instant success – as it has in other markets worldwide.”
