The news comes as The City That Never Sleeps prepares itself for some landmark anniversaries, events and new openings in the next twelve months. Developments include:
The Hotel @ Times Square
New York has possibly the most famous and breathtaking skyline in the world and what better place to see the city than from The Hotel @ Times Square’s dramatic rooftop bar. In 2013, the hotel (located on 46th Street between 5th and 6th Avenue) will be unveiling this new destination bar, offering spectacular views of Fifth Avenue to the east, Times Square to the west as well as Rockefeller Center and Central Park to the north.
What’s more, the hotel is the perfect base to visit the famous Grand Central Terminal, which in February of next year is celebrating its centenary. There will be a birthday event at the beginning of the month, accompanied by the opening of a historic exhibition that will launch a year’s worth of exciting programmes.
Broadway @ Times Square Hotel
The latest addition to the independent hotel chain and following an extensive refurbishment, Broadway @ Times Square Hotel will be re-launching in the second quarter of 2013. The hotel will see a modern, clean and stylish re-design to encompass a brand new reception and lounge area, as well as a media lounge, self-service concierge kiosk and flat screen televisions.
The hotel is the perfect location for access to Broadway and 2013 promises to be a busy year for the stage with some new productions making their way stateside, including Annie The Musical and Tim Minchin’s popular Mathilda. In addition, some faces more in keeping with the silver screen will be walking the boards, including Downtown Abbey’s Dan Stevens who joins The Heiress; Al Pacino, who plays the lead in David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross and Katie Holmes who will star in the dark comedy Dead Accounts.
