Royal Jordanian, InterContinental Hotels Group sign partnership agreement

This first-of-its-kind agreement between any the country’s hotels and RJ’s frequent flyer program was signed by Royal Jordanian’s Chief Commercial Officer Server Aydin and IHG’s Area General Manager Oussama Massoud.

AMMAN – Royal Jordanian and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in Jordan, owned by the Social Security Corporation, concluded a partnership agreement whereby Royal Jordanian’s frequent flyers – Royal Plus members – get the chance to obtain free miles against the money they spend at IHG hotels, which are InterContinental Resort Aqaba, Crowne Plaza Hotel Amman, Crowne Plaza Resort Dead Sea, Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea and Holiday Inn Amman

This first-of-its-kind agreement between any the country’s hotels and RJ’s frequent flyer program was signed by Royal Jordanian’s Chief Commercial Officer Server Aydin and IHG’s Area General Manager Oussama Massoud.

According to the agreement, Royal Jordanian's Royal Plus members get three miles accrued to their accounts against each Jordanian dinar spent at IHG hotels.

To get the free miles, RJ’s frequent flyers should show their Royal Plus cards at the reception counter upon checking in at the hotel, upon ordering at any of these hotels' restaurants and cafes or at the spas, gyms and other facilities of the hotels in Jordan.

RJ President/CEO Captain Suleiman Obeidat said: “We are glad of this partnership with five of the IHG hotels. Such a partnership with a big business group like IHG will meet the satisfaction of the clients of both companies while enhancing their commercial benefits. It is also bound to stimulate the customers to enjoy the privileges of the frequent flyer program, which witnesses growing demand."

Massoud said: “Our customers now get extra benefits when they are using any of our hotels and facilities. We are proud to be the first hotel group in Jordan that signs an agreement of this kind with a leading carrier in the Middle East like Royal Jordanian. Such partnerships mirror our keenness to offer the best to our guests, meeting their expectations and enriching their travel experience.”

Royal Jordanian’s Royal Plus program aims at enhancing the passengers’ travel experience by offering excellent services, benefits and flexibility.

As per the program, passengers gain miles with each flight, according to the destination and the ticket fare and class of travel. Passengers can also collect miles when they travel on the oneworld alliance’s carriers, of which RJ is a member since nine years now.
