Russian market records a progression of 23% during the period 2000-2003, and cumulated in 2003 11,6 millions outbound trips. 15 years after the Berlin wall felt in 1989, this market, starting from scratch, appears to become one of the fastest growing in Europe.

IPK International launches the Russian outbound long term forecast, and open a new pool of subscribers at a very ttractive price. The Russian Generation report will be available early 2005 and can be paid partly in 2004(10,000) and partly in 2005 (10,000), by the pre-fund subscribers.

This report concerns the number of holiday departures awaited from Russia, the transportation and accommodation modes, the type of holidays and the main benefits projected, cross broken by each group of age. A strict observation of the past, linked to a serious study of the most probable demographic evolution enables holiday consumption to be forecasted with an unequalled pertinence, until the year 2020.

The Generation report 2020 is already available for the other following outbound markets: USA, Canada, Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Spain.

The World Travel Monitor studies performed by IPK International since 1990 provide an unequalled knowledge of evolutions in the holiday consumption of travelers from 50 different countries. The 2020 Generation report analyzes evolutions in age pyramids in 10 of the most important countries in the world and forecasts the evolution of the members of seven 10-year age groups (from 15-24 to 75 years old and over), taking into account lengthening life expectancy, migratory balance and birth rates. IPK International`s historic database is used to analyze the average number of holiday trips made by each person in each age group (generational cohort) between 1990 and 1999. This number – The Travel Participation Ratio – is then projected over 2010, 2015 and 2020, using past, present and future social evolutions, collated with the demographic evolution and used to deduce the theoretical number of trips expected to be made by each age group. The types of holiday vary according to the holiday-makers` age.
