Polish mobile solutions innovator Psiloc has recently announced that it has added a complete hotel booking plug-in to its flagship travel platform, World Traveler, thanks to a newly-signed agreement with Finnish mobile hotel bookings leader Hotelzon.
The new hotel booking plug-in, which will be marketed under the Hotelzon name, will allow customers to search for availability and book a hotel stay either by location, hotel category or length of stay-all through a mobile phone. For the traveller who suddenly gets stuck with nowhere to stay, the search option can be switched to ‘location by GPS’, which then automatically checks all hotels in the immediate vicinity. Marek Filipiak, Psiloc founder and president said, “We consider this a key step forward in the development of our World Traveler product.”
The Hotelzon hotel booking plug-in should make waves in what Filipiak noted to be a cutting-edge and highly-competitive industry that is bringing new products to the traveler on an almost daily basis. The Hotelzon plug-in offers a new twist; however, by offering a ‘GPS-radius’ feature, it allows a traveler to scan their immediate area for available hotels – even if the exact location is not known.
Filipiak also emphasized the reach of the new plug-in. Finnish Hotelzon, is ranked as the biggest mobile hotel stay provider, with access to more than 90,000 hotels world-wide. Hotelzon has already proven to be a hit with the business world with a corporate client base exceeding 15,000 and more than 100,000 mobile users.
The addition of Hotelzon’s coverage to Psiloc’s reach through the World Traveler platform should be a game changer, according to Hotelzon CEO Jani Kaskinen.
"With the current economic climate, the importance of smart travel policies, cost control, security and reporting tools cannot be more vital,” Kaskinen said. “This application is set to transform the way in which business travel is booked.”
