Amadeus, has been selected by the University of the Philippines Asian Institute of Tourism (UP-AIT), a government educational institution, to provide internationally recognized certification training on computerized reservations system (CRS) to their tourism students through Amadeus’ e-learning solution, Amadeus Learning City.



Amadeus Learning City is a user friendly learning solution that offers self-paced courses based on Amadeus system products and functionalities. Amadeus Learning City has helped travel management companies, travel agencies and airlines increase their productivity and skills to deal with today’s dynamic travel environment. The solution is expected to provide graduates from UP-AIT with a head start as they enter the travel workforce.



General Manager, Amadeus Philippines, Albert Villadolid said: Amadeus is delighted to be entering into a long term exclusive partnership with UP-AIT, to provide quality specific content skills training for their students through our state-of-the-art Amadeus Learning City solution. UP-AIT has been a reliable source of highly educated entry-level, supervisory and management personnel for the travel and tourism sector and Amadeus training, now available to their students, will help enhance their employability and contribution to the industry.

UP-AIT is the fifth university to select Amadeus as the computerized reservations system learning solutions provider, following University of San Jose Recoletos in Cebu, University of Santo Tomas, DLSU College of St. Benilde, and Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Founded in 1908 by an act of the First Philippine Legislature, UP was designated by law to provide advanced instruction in literature, philosophy, the sciences, and arts, and to give professional and technical training.
