It’s that time of year again: The ninth Congress and Events Day takes place on 31 March 2009 – this year in the historic Gurzenich Koln. Organisers of this year’s event are the Cologne Convention Bureau (founded last year), KolnKongress GmbH and the Cologne Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Preparations are reaching a fever pitch, and the day promises to be a captivating presentation of Cologne’s full range of offerings in the conventions, meetings and incentives sector.
A list of approximately 50 exhibitors from Cologne’s events industry is exceptional: Providers of convention and meeting spaces, event locations and event technologies, along with suppliers from the hotel, gastronomy, and events industries, as well as artist agencies and representatives will display their attractive portfolio of services. The exhibition in Gurzenich Koln opens its doors at 10:00 o’clock to the industry professionals invited from throughout Germany, including agencies, associations, businesses and events planning.
The exhibition is accompanied by a scintillating general programme, available in the afternoon, which provides the special guests the opportunity, for example, to discover Cologne on a bicycle city tour. Or the chance to learn more about event technology at a workshop. The exclusive “Casino Vinophil”, a recently developed "wine casino", ensures a uniquely pleasurable experience, enticing visitors to "play, relax and enjoy". The latest means of passenger conveyance can be discovered on a visit to the "Segway" parcourse.
In addition to the ample range of options found in Gurzenich Koln, visitors can also see other one-of-a-kind sites in Cologne during the entire event, using the shuttle service provided.
Participation in the event is free and reserved exclusively for industry specialists. Guests who wish to come by train to this year’s Congress and Event Day are eligible to purchase an Event Ticket at a special rate, courtesy of the event organizers and Deutsche Bahn.
