Re-affirming its multi-distribution strategy, Air Transat has significantly increased the capacity distributed via the GDS channels compared to last winter and many traditional and online tour operators will be featuring Air Transat flights for the first time. Air Transat will operate London Gatwick to Toronto twice a week, Manchester to Toronto once a week and Glasgow to Toronto once a week during the winter season which commences 01 November 2006.

Peter Kenworthy, Air Transat`s Commercial Director U.K. said I am delighted to see such a growing interest from trade partners to sell our flights to Canada. Every month, more and more travel agencies and tour operators are selling our fares which are now available in all major GDS systems; they are increasingly recognising the value we have on offer.

After 18 years of operation on the UK-Canada market, Air Transat continues to be totally committed to offering value for money fares and a quality product between the UK and Canada. commented Gilles Lamontagne, Vice President Sales and Revenues, Long Haul.
