Garuda Indonesian Airlines and Angola’s TAAG are banned to fly from their countries to Europe according to a new decision taken by the European Commission. EC placed these airlines in the European airlines blacklist and ban flights to all 27 countries within the European Union from these carriers.

All certified airlines in Indonesia as well as Angola`s TAAG Angolan Airlines and Volare Aviation Enterprise of Ukraine are banned to make flights in Europe.

The new updated “blacklist” of the EC’s air safety committee also includes ten Russian Airlines, six from the newly EU member Bulgaria and eight from Moldova.

However, the committee relaxed restrictions on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) allowing the carrier to fly with specific Boeing 747 and Airbus 310 planes in addition to its Boeing 777 fleet.
