Starting today, Iberia will hand out promotional sample bottles of the finest Spanish virgin olive oil to passengers on flights from Spain to Miami, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Quito, Lima and Caracas.
The campaign stems from an agreement involving Iberia, the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Food, and the Spanish Association of Olive Oil Exporters (ASOLIVA).
In coming months a total of 203,000 samples will be distributed along with a brochure explaining the product`s qualities and uses. The bottles will bear a label especially designed for this promotion.
It is the seventh olive oil promotion campaign involving Iberia, the Spanish government, and olive oil exporters.
