The Italian State Tourist Board is pleased to announce for the third year running The Italian Tourist Board Travel Writing Awards (UK). The best travel pieces in each of the categories below, the best travel guide and the best overall publication will be awarded with a prize at a Gala evening in early January 2010 (location and date to be advised).
Categories
- Best newspaper article: daily or weekend issue, (including on-line articles)
- Best magazine article: travel magazines, consumer magazines (travel section) or trade publication, (including on-line articles)
- NEW: Best travel photography as part of a travel article: newspaper or magazine.
- Best travel guide to Italy, Italian region/ area or city.
- Special category: Best overall newspaper or magazine for number and quality of articles on Italy.
Awards criteria
- All articles must be travel and tourism pieces on Italy in general or on a specific Italian city, region or area and must have been published by a newspaper daily or weekend issue, travel or consumer magazine or travel trade magazine (on-line included) in Great Britain between 1st November 08 and 31st December 2009.
- Travel guide books must be new editions on Italy in general, an Italian region or area or a specific city and they must have been published in Great Britain between 1st November 2008 and 31st December 2009.
