ITTFA member TUR announces new Networking Day

Networking Day, a new feature at TUR, the Swedish Travel Fair taking place in Gothenburg next month at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, will be held on Wednesday 21 March, the day before the fair opens. Networking Day, a new feature at TUR, the Swedish Travel Fair taking place in Gothenburg next month at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, will be held on Wednesday 21 March, the day before the fair opens. This new initiative has been designed to attract senior executives in the hospitality industry. Its focus will be on competency improvement, information and inspiration. Networking Day will consists of five different blocks, two of these blocks, Connect and the Welcome Reception, require special invitations.

The five events running on Networking Day are as follows:
Growth & Development Day will run from 10.00-15.00 in H 1, access via Gothia Towers, Level 2. This is an open seminar in Swedish targeting the Swedish hospitality industry and is organised by RTS (Swedish Travel & Tourist Industry Federation).

FuTURe, 15.30-17.45 in the Congress Hall, Entrances 5 and 8. An open seminar on the future, to be held in Swedish. Four well known entrepreneurs (Jan Carlzon, Petter Stordalen, Per G Braathen, Rabbe Gronblom) will discuss future issues with moderator Britt-Marie Mattsson. Connect, 17.00-19.00 in H Hall, access via Gothia Towers, Level 2. Connect will be a face-to-face ‘speed dating’ event between invited buyers and TUR exhibitors. The buyers, from various sectors and fields of interest, will be invited to Connect and approved by TUR. The companies represented by the buyers will be announced on tur.se on 14 March (no personal data on the buyers will be given). Directories available at the actual speed dating event will, however, show each buyer’s name and his/her areas of interest. The buyers will sit at numbered tables displaying their names. The TUR exhibitors will then be able to speed date any of the buyers. No pre-booking is necessary; the exhibitors seek out the buyers they wish to talk to. The meeting between buyers and exhibitors shall not exceed 5 minutes. Speed dating is free if the exhibitor is a member of ANTOR (Association of National Tourist Office Representatives in Sweden) or a co-exhibitor in a stand where the main exhibitor is a member of ANTOR. All other exhibitors will pay SEK 1,000 per person. Payment is by cash or card on the spot. Organisers: TUR and ANTOR.

Each main exhibitor will receive two tickets. Tickets to Growth & Development Day or FuTURe also provide admission to the Welcome Reception. Organised by TUR.
