Japan Airlines` passengers to Europe can now reserve Eurostar trains

From yesterday, Japan Airlines` passengers traveling to Europe can include a journey on Eurostar

From yesterday, Japan Airlines` passengers traveling to Europe can include a journey on Eurostar express trains on certain intra Europe sectors, for the same cost as the total airfare.

Bookings for the Eurostar sectors must be requested at the same time as flight reservations prior to purchasing the ticket. The Eurostar sector is then issued as a coupon in the international air ticket and this ticket will need to be exchanged for an Eurostar boarding pass at the station at least one hour prior to boarding the train.

The three Eurostar sectors available are between London and Brussels, London and Paris and London and Disneyland Paris Station. The London Eurostar station is Waterloo; the Eurostar station in Paris is the Gare du Nord and in Brussels, Brussels Midi.

Passengers eligible for this service are those purchasing regular full fare tickets in first, business or economy class; holders of IATA `PEX` tickets, IATA youth fares and JAL`s own brand of discount tickets, JAL `Goku` and `Maeuri Goku 21` (a discount fare sold up to 21 days in advance of travel).

Eurostar inaugurated service as a high-speed European rail link in 1994. It currently operates up to 14 round trip journeys a day between London and Paris and eight round trip services between London and Brussels. A daily service also operates to Disneyland Paris from Waterloo.
