Largest Russian Airport and Austrian Airlines are planning future cooperation

Starting from February 2007 Austrian Airlines, a part of Austrian Airlines Group, opens scheduled service from Domodedovo International Airport. Austrian Airlines will perform daily flights on Vienna-Moscow-Vienna route from Domodedovo with Airbus-319/Airbus-321/Boeing-737.



The airline will perform three flights per day from Monday to Thursday and two flights per day on Fridays and weekends. Scheduled service on Innsbruck-Moscow-Innsbruck route will start on December 23, 2006. The airline will operate Boeing-738 on this route.



Domodedovo will become a base for cooperation between Austrian Airlines and AiRUnion alliance. The parties currently negotiate a code-sharing agreement to be signed within the framework of such a cooperation.



Kurt Reimann, Head of Austrian Airlines representative office in Russia, said: Cooperation with AiRUnion and Domodedovo, one of the most advanced and dynamically developing Russian airports, is an important milestone in our Focus East strategy implementation. This step will enable us expand our operations eastward and give Austrian passengers more opportunities for comfortable travel.

Cooperation with Austrian Airlines enables us to provide our passengers with high quality services on the Austrian routes and to ensure mutually beneficial cooperation of the foreign airline with Russian and CIS airlines, flying from Domodedovo.



Austrian Airlines with become the 21st international airline performing scheduled flights from Domodedovo International Airport. In 2006 the number of Domodedovo customers and partners grew further and included such foreign airlines as Singapore Airlines, Eurofly, Wind Jet, dba, Royal Jordanian Airlines, etc.
