Amadeus, offering technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry, announced it has extended its long-standing technology agreement with lastminute website. Since the website’s early days, Amadeus has provided travel content and booking technology to lastminute website.
Launched in April 1998, lastminute website is today Europe’s online leisure travel retailer, operating in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Scandinavia as well as the UK. The company sold many of travel products and services in the year October 2004 to September 2005.
“Amadeus has supported us through our extraordinary success,” said John Bevan, lastminute website Holidays Director. “We are happy to be extending this agreement as we move forward with a multi-GDS strategy involving Amadeus and, increasingly, the system owned by our new parent company.”
