More and more Brits egg-scaping to Ireland

Brits experienced a craic-ing good Easter break in Ireland the past weekend (22 – 23 March), according to Aer Arann, with figures released showing a 14 per cent rise in air passenger bookings from the UK to Ireland. Customers choosing to fly Aer Arann domestically have also increased 7% increase over the same weekend last year.

Colin Lewis, Head of Sales and Marketing at Aer Arann, said: “This Easter exodus is outstanding and follows hot on the heals of a complete sell-out last weekend for St Patrick’s Day. Ireland is clearly a top holiday break destination and we hope to welcome more people to the Emerald Isle during the spring.”

Colin added: “The number of passengers chose to travel with Aer Arann overall is extremely encouraging. We have made great gains in the UK market and these figures reflect this substantial increase.”
