SN Brussels Airlines to adjust fuel surcharge in September

SN Brussels Airlines adjusts its fuel surcharge on all flights after the first of September…

SN Brussels Airlines adjusts its fuel surcharge on all flights after the first of September. Following the further rise of oil prices, SN will increase the fuel levy from 10 to 12 euro for European flights and from 23 to 30 euro on the flights to Africa and to the Middle East.

By announcing this levy, SN joins the growing list of airlines and transport companies that introduce an additional fuel surcharge to ticket prices because of surging oil prices.

Passengers who fly on the European network of SN Brussels Airlines after the first of September will have to pay a fuel levy of 12 euro per flight leg (plus 2 euro). On the African and Middle East routes a fuel levy of30 euro (plus 7 euro) will be charged per flight.

The fuel surcharge applies to all fares sold across the network of SN Brussels Airlines for travel after the first of September 2005 and will not apply to customers who have booked and paid before the 11th of July for their tickets for travel as from September.

The revised surcharge will help defray, in part, the increase in costs arising from the current situation on the oil market. SN has also put in place other mechanisms such as fuel saving measures in the flight operations area as well as a forwardlooking fuel hedging policy.

SN Brussels Airlines is a leader in providing value for money combined with a full service product, says Executive Vice President Commercial Philip Saunders,. By delaying the additional fuel surcharge until the first of September we allow all our customers to take advantage in July and August of our interesting summer deals to numerous destinations in Europe and Africa.
