The three winners at the Net Stableford at Porto elounda Golf Club Mr. Chris Lolas, Mr. Vassilis Konstantantakopoulos and Mr. Konstantinos Lafkas were awarded the special Elounda S.A. prizes, complimentary stays for any of the three hotels that belong to the company. The prizes were 7 nights for the first, 5 for the second and 3 for the third and they were awarded by Mrs. Elena Kokotos, Owner and CEO of Elounda S.A.
The special event competition on Sunday 5th was a shoot-out of 7 holes for 6 closest to the pin tries and one hole-in-one chance for a Saab 9-3 cabrio automobile on hole No 5. Additionally on hole No 5 an electric golf buggy was offered as an award to the player that would approach the hole within 50cm. The 6 closest to the pin holes hosted presents by the tournament’s sponsors for both professionals and amateurs.
The Pro-Am winning teams at Crete Golf Club were announced by Mr. Antonis Sotiropoulos head-pro of Porto elounda Golf Club and they were awarded by Mr. Nikos Efthimiadis president of Attikos Golf Club of Athens. First was the team lead by the Pro Mr. Thanasis Karatzias and amateur members Mr. Vassilis Konstantakopoulos, Mr. Chris Raptis and Mr. Chris Lola. Second, the team lead by the Pro Mr. Stathis Toumazanis and amateur members Mr. Alm Kjell, Mr. William Bennett and Mrs. Pirieta Athanasiadou.
The Pro-Am winning teams at Porto Elounda Golf Club were announced by Mr. Antonis Sotiropoulos head-pro of Porto Eslounda Golf Club and they were awarded by Mr. Spyros Kokotos and Mr. George Ginis for first and second team respectively. First was the team lead by the Pro Mr. Thanasis Karatzias and amateur members Mr. Vassilis Konstantakopoulos, Mr. Chris Rapti and Mr. Chris Lola. Second, the team lead by the Pro Mr. Adam Sofronis and amateur members Mr. Alekos Pappas, Mr. Giannis Andropoulos and Mr. Van Duijne.
The Porto Elounda Golf Club is a 9 hole par-3 course with 18 tees and total length 2062 m. and it is considered one of the best of its kind by golfers who love this game. In addition to everything else the course has the unique view of the mirabello bay and cretan sea. The Handicap equalizing factor is 0.4. The Crete Golf Club is a 18 hole golf course with a total length of 6015 m. and the full handicap was used by the players as certified by their clubs and associations.
