TUI, Europe`s tourism group launches its own carrier TUI Airlines Belgium on 1 April 2004. The holiday airline which was founded on 13 November 2003 will initially fly short and medium-haul routes with five Boeing 737s. The fleet will be strengthened in June 2004 by a Boeing 767 for long-haul destinations. All of the aircraft are being leased at favourable conditions. The company has around 300 staff.



TUI Airlines Belgium takes over most of the holiday charter flights of Jetair, the Group`s own Belgian tour operator. The new carrier will fly non-stop routes mainly to holiday destinations. These include Spain, Portugal, Greece, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Malta, Italy, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Cuba and Jamaica.



TUI Airlines Belgium is assisted by TUI Airline Management. TUI Airline Management bundles the central functions of the TUI airlines and is responsible for strategic management.
