Worldspan recorded notable growth in 2006, with sustained momentum in early 2007 through new partnerships with 82 travel retailers in the United Kingdom. Wang Dynasty, Seabreeze Holidays Ltd and Netcom & Travel Ltd are among the growing UK retailers to recently choose Worldspan for global distribution system (GDS) services and travel technologies.

We are learning first hand why UK travel agents vote for Worldspan year after year as the best reservations system, said Jimmy Wang, managing director and owner of Manchester-based Wang Dynasty Group. We have found Worldspan to be a friendly GDS that is intent on providing the superior solutions, content and service we need to grow our business.

Worldspan welcomes our new agency partners and we look forward to delivering the very best solutions, service and support available, said Brian Staunton, Worldspan regional manager – UK and Ireland. All of our customers have benefits that are not attainable from other GDSs, and chief amongst them is that Worldspan is not a travel retailer. Instead, we provide totally unbiased information through the most innovative technologies, and our customers are stronger competitors because of this.

In 2006, Worldspan entered dynamically in UK travel market as the company introduced Worldspan e-Pricing(R) in the UK, the low-fare shopping technology and also signed new full content agreements with airlines throughout Europe and the world. Worldspan has also delivered enhancements to its hotel and car rental systems.
