Gulf Air’s European summer schedule takes off

New summer schedule offers more flights to meet summer demand.

MANAMA, KINKDOM of BAHRAIN – As part of its new summer schedule, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air will increase its flights to and from all of: Frankfurt, Larnaca and Paris during the upcoming peak summer travel period and until September 2015, due to growing passenger numbers. This follows the airline’s recent announcement of its enhanced Istanbul summer schedule which now offers a choice of up to 07 weekly flights during the summer period.

The frequency increase will provide greater choice of flights and enhanced connectivity for passengers travelling between these select European destinations and Bahrain with 8 weekly flights to both Frankfurt and Paris, Charles de Gaulle Airport and 6 weekly flights to Larnaca. Gulf Air’s European summer schedule further supplements the airline’s existing 4 weekly Athens service and double daily London Heathrow service.

Gulf Air’s Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Ahmed Janahi commented on the additional flights: “With the summer holidays upon us we are seeing an increase in travel demand to some of the airline’s most popular destinations. Our additional flights to Frankfurt, Larnaca and Paris are key to strengthening our strategic business and tourism links across Europe. These additional frequencies allow greater connectivity for passengers travelling between Europe and our extensive network including key destinations in the MENA region and Asia, via Bahrain International Airport while facilitating movement to and from the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

Serving 43 cities in 24 countries spanning three continents, Gulf Air boasts one of the largest regional networks with multiple daily flights to ten regional cities from its hub at Bahrain International Airport. The national carrier is well-positioned to provide seamless connectivity and two-way movement across its network and through its efficient Bahrain hub.
