The American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) and 4thStreet Media Group announced the launch of “The ASTA Travel Tip of the Day,” a series of 2-minute radio spots taped with ASTA travel agents that will offer consumer travel tips. The spots will run for 26 consecutive weeks beginning Jan. 2, 2006, and air on the nationally heard satellite radio program “Traveling with Paul Lasley and Elizabeth Harryman.”
“ASTA is thrilled to be able to share its members’ expertise with an even larger audience thanks to the ‘Traveling with Paul Lasley and Elizabeth Harryman’ program,” said ASTA President and CEO Kathryn W. Sudeikis, CTC. “By broadcasting on satellite radio, ASTA members can not only provide listeners across the country with helpful travel tips but can connect with a new demographic—younger Americans with disposable income—that they otherwise might not be able to reach as easily. We’re really excited to be working with Paul and Elizabeth, two of the travel media’s consummate professionals.”

“Traveling with Paul Lasley and Elizabeth Harryman” is currently heard daily on Discovery Channel Radio/Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 119 and offers information and entertaining content about the world of travel covering such subjects as ideal vacation destinations, tips and personal experiences. “Traveling with Paul Lasley and Elizabeth Harryman” provides novice travelers and road warriors alike with information they can use.
Paul Lasley and Elizabeth Harryman have more than 20 years of experience in the travel media, having written and hosted travel-related video, audio and print content for some of the world’s largest media outlets. Together, they host “The Travel Show,” a live talk-radio program heard on KABC, Los Angeles. Their “OnTravel” reports are heard several times daily on more than a dozen XM Satellite Radio channels. Lasley also serves as travel correspondent for the KTLA –TV, Los Angeles Morning News, and Harryman is travel editor of Westways magazine, a publication of the Automobile Club of Southern California, and editor-in-chief of Hawaii Westways.
