MacNair Travel Management, a privately owned American Express Representative Office, announced the expansion of its Group, Meetings and Incentive Travel Division with the addition of Denise Jackson as manager for business development.
“Denise brings with her more than 15 years of experience in the travel industry and has strong connections,” said Mike MacNair, president & CEO, MacNair Travel Management. “We know our clients will enjoy working with Denise and she’ll be a valued member of the MacNair team. We’re thrilled to have someone of her caliber on board at MacNair.”
Jackson began her career with Hilton Hotels Corporation, spending seven years with Hilton and serving in a variety of positions from convention services director in San Diego and Los Angeles to director of national accounts in the Washington and New York Regional offices. Other experience includes serving as director of sales, national accounts, for the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau in Washington, DC. She has also served as regional director of sales for NYC & Company in Washington, DC.
Having both domestic and international meeting and event planning experience gives Jackson a strong skill set that will be valuable in further growing the company’s Group, Meetings and Incentives Travel Division, according to MacNair. “Her expertise mirrors the types of clients MacNair Travel represents in this arena; therefore, her start-up time will be minimal,” he added.
Jackson has handled every aspect of planning and executing all types of business, from large city-wide conventions to executive board meetings. Furthermore, she has helped associations, corporations and incentive clients hold successful events.
