PhoCusWright Inc., in the field of applied travel intelligence, launched a new syndicated research service dedicated exclusively to travel technology. Called The PhoCusWright GDX, the new online service provides in-depth coverage of the most important technology trends and developments and their impact on the travel, tourism and hospitality marketplace. It features ongoing primary quantitative and qualitative research exposing important technology innovations and applications for the travel business. GDX, a sister product to The PhoCusWright Channel covering strategic issues and trends, combines PhoCusWright`s technical expertise and travel intelligence with unique analysis and interpretation.

PhoCusWright GDX subscribers will gain intelligence on platforms and industry standards, increase knowledge of system integration strategies and emerging technologies, keep tabs on competitors, evaluate vendor options, make informed decisions, and improve operational efficiency within their own companies. Travel professionals and technology providers will have the access to the technical expertise and real-world insight required to remain competitive in an evolving travel technology marketplace.

We`re excited to launch the GDX syndicated research service because it brings travel professionals industry-specific technology content they can`t get anywhere else, said Cathy Schetzina, GDX editor in chief and director, information services, PhoCusWright Inc. GDX is a logical extension of TRAVDEX, PhoCusWright`s travel technology conference, where industry leaders have long gathered to discuss the next big thing in travel technology. GDX provides real insight into travel applications, giving travel companies the technical expertise they need to make sound investment decisions, and helping technology companies navigate the complexities of the travel marketplace. It`s a powerful combination.

Sample GDX articles include: Spotlights (product descriptions, technical implementations and reviews, vendor information); Showcases (in-depth company profiles); Scoreboards (competitive analysis, benchmarking); Points of View (executive interviews); Case Studies; and Dashboards (statistical data/tables).

Current features include Harrah`s CRM System/Loyalty Program (Case Study), and Spotlights on Geocoding and Geographic Information Systems (GISs), The GDS New Entrants, and Developing the Future of RSS. Future articles will cover mapping technology, caching solutions, open standards, AJAX, rich media, search, data mining, data warehousing and more.
