Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia are keen to develop sustainable tourism based on their significant natural and man-made tourism resources. Their location on the Silk Road makes them enticing cultural destinations, and their active membership of the World Tourism Organization serves as a useful tool for promoting their tourism assets in the global market. WTO is convinced that this region of the world has great tourism potential and will do all it can to assist the countries concerned in developing sustainable tourism for the benefit of local populations.
