To truly prepare for a sun-soaked glam holiday on the Cote d’Azur, some indulgent spa therapy is a must. The newly opened Spa by Cinq Mondes at the Five Hotel & Spa, just upped the ante by not only offering truly top-of-the-line treatments but also taking you on an exotic tour at the same time. Well-known for their creative treatments, well-being rituals and beauty traditions from around the globe, the brand is a welcome addition to the yachting, cruising and seaside resorts of Cannes. Get ready to rev and be revived!
The Spa by Cinq Mondes is a destination in its own right. Spread over 820 sq. ft. of contemporary design in calming shades of white, the spa features four treatment rooms, two saunas, a hammam, a scrub table, relaxation room and high-tech gym. The all-embracing assortment of face and body treatments are carried out with soft lighting and lulling music personalized for each treatment to complete the serene experience. Created by French-born Jean Louis Poiroux, the spa rituals are influenced by the cultures from five continents and integrate traditions from Indonesia, India, Thailand, China, North Africa, Japan, Turkey and the Polynesian Islands. For those who are looking for more action over serenity, there’s also fitness training programs including bootcamps for hardcore workout enthusiasts.
The four hour signature treatment Well-being and Serenity Ritual is designed to give a first-timer a complete passage through the treatments and traditions of Cinq Mondes. This includes the aromatic Turkish hammam, Indian spice scrub, traditional oriental massage, Japanese “KO BI DO” face and body massage and ends with lunch at Five Hotel & Spa’s Sea Sens rooftop restaurant that has menus created by Michelin-starred brothers Jacques and Laurent Pourcel.
While the Spa by Cinq Mondes provides a sensorial journey for guests, Five Hotel & Spa creates strong visual experiences with handcrafted pieces designed specially for the hotel by the best craftsmen around the world. With a glamorous location behind the famous Croisette in Cannes, the hotel’s 45 rooms and suites feature bespoke pieces from embroidered folding screens to blue porcelain antiques and draws guests into journeys that are unique, authentic and intimate. The hotel even has a private yacht for mini-cruises between Monaco and Saint-Tropez or a romantic dinner around the Lerins islands.
