Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts, the first class hotel brand of Rezidor SAS Hospitality has signed an agreement to manage a unique resort to be developed on the Farnham Estate in Cavan.
Roy McCabe, owner of the Farnham Estate comments: Together with Radisson SAS we will ensure that the heritage of the old estate will be enhanced, allowing its great natural beauty to be enjoyed by the public, for the first time in four hundred years.
The Farnham Estate is a 1300 acre parkland with lakes, pasture and woodland. The historic site will see an investment of 50 MEUR to be developed into the Radisson SAS Resort & Spa, Cavan, a destination lifestyle resort. The existing Farnham House, which dates back to 1780, will be retained, and the hotel will be built adjacent to the existing house. The project will include a 158-room hotel and a championship golf course. The hotel will offer several restaurants, a state-of-the-art spa and wellness centre with 30 treatment rooms as well as meeting facilities.

This will be our first resort in the country and once the project is completed it will join a short list of exclusive castles and manors in Ireland.
The architect for the project is Des McMahon of the Dublin firm Gilroy McMahon.
